I've been going through the tutorial DVD for Kontakt, and the tutorials on the Cubase DVD. My comprehension with a video tutorial is much higher than reading from a manual.
Update: I would like to distinguish between video tutorials and web-based tutorials which require reading. I found such reading-oriented tutorials available for installing windows, for example. They work well. However, when explaining a complicated program, especially to new users of that program, video tutorials are invaluable. Today I listened to a presentation about a web-based genealogy program. I thought that this program is a prime candidate for video tutorials. I think it only has the more reading-oriented tutorials available.
